Spring Cleaning In Style! | SophiasStyle.com

Now that winter is gone and Spring has sprung, it’s time for rainy days and a little spring cleaning! • Construction paper
• Scissors

Assemble a paper cube and then write different chores on each side. (And if you’re a mom with a really long list of chores, make two dice to get the jobs done quicker!) Then let each child in the family roll the dice to see which chore they have to complete. It makes the tasks a little more fun because you won’t know what you’ll get until you toss the dice!

It's Time For Girls Outerwear! | Sophia's Style

The enthusiasm in that title is not a facade, I am absolutely thrilled about the cooler weather because there is nothing (clothing-wise, that is) that I adore more than outerwear!

elmo and cookie monster cupcakes

I think we first saw these Elmo cupcakes on Hostess with the Mostess last year, and Stacy has made them a couple of times since. We used large marshmallows for the eyes, a gumdrop for the nose, and a small frosting tip to create the fur and eyeballs. Cookie Monster's mouth is half an Oreo cookie. Easy-peasy! Aren't they completely adorable? They're sure to be a hit on the toddler scene!


They were so cute we decided to plan a party so we'd have a reason to make them. Since there were no birthdays in sight, we planned an "Un-Birthday Party" and got all the kids together for games (like pin the , prizes, and treats. So much fun!

Fishbowl Cupcakes For A Summer Pool Party | SophiasStyle.com

Baby’s First Birthday Party – It’s For the Parents Too!

It's Always A Good Time To Shop For Girls Shoes | Sophia's Style

Kids just love getting new shoes! When I was a nanny, the children were excited about their new pairs of shoes for weeks, sometimes months, after they got them. Whenever I told the two year old girl, Ally, that it was time to go outside and to find her shoes, she'd raise her eyebrows and say, "My new shoes?" and when I said yes, she'd get so excited and run off to get them!

At Sophia's Style, we have so many adorable girls shoes! My newest obsession is our Wee Squeak shoes, they have little removable inserts that squeak every time the child takes a step. Evidently it helps toddlers learn to walk, and it makes keeping track of them in public places much easier (if you aren't looking, you can hear if they start to wander away). Those things aside, they're incredibly well-made shoes, and they come in a zillion adorable styles. They're excellent baby girl shoes.

We also have a ton of really pretty girls shoes. In fact, yesterday I told my officemate about three different times how much I wish they made a grown up version of these faux-croc Laura Ashley maryjanes, because they're absolutely perfect (and I'm obsessed with black croc and quilted shoes and purses right now), and the little silver detailed buckles on them are so pretty and vintage-y.
